a bit about kendenup
Kendenup is located in the Great Southern Region of Western Australia, 345 kilometres south of Perth and
22 kilometres north of Mount Barker.
Kendenup was one of the original stations on the
Great Southern Railway line, the site of Western Australia’s first gold mine and the centre of a pioneering ‘closer settlement’ in the 1920s and 30s.
Today, we have a vibrant community of about
1,290 people (2006 ABS).

SUPPORTING SPORT AND THE COMMUNITY
The KCC Committee and affiliated sports clubs hold events and functions for fundraising throughout the year. We also support local groups in hosting functions to support community activities.
The Kendenup Country Club is situated on Beverley Road in Kendenup. The club provides community facilities including a club house and function area for meetings, fundraisers and social occasions.
